Nothing's sweeter than a fresh red apple or crisp cabbage from your own backyard. Our market's the next best thing!
Fresh potatoes, green house produce, carrots, cherries, peaches.... you name it we have it!
Yes the rumors are true! The #Airdrie #Market will open June 3rd for our 2020 summer season! We are so excited and so thankful for the opportunity to open.
Things will be a bit different this year- but that's ok 💚💚 You are going to see some directional signs like the one below, and our entrance/exits will be limited to one area on the North Side (1st Ave).
You may see fewer vendors, and will have to take your time and look for your favorite ones as our layout will have changed a bit. There might be vendors wearing masks or gloves.... there may also limited options to touch products.
Vendors will be spaced out for their (and your) protection as we move forward with the provincial re-open plan. Our Aisles will be a bit wider so that you can safely walk around people who may be waiting or browsing a little slower.
You may see markings in front of vendor booths and/or pylons etc. to manage line ups and wait times for purchasing.
We are hoping there will be no need to limit the amount of people within the market- so please don't rush in right at 3:30pm when we open.
We are also considering a 'seniors only' shopping from 3pm to 3:30pm & will open up the market a bit early so all of the members of our community feel safe.
We would ask that for now: please limit the amount of shoppers per household wherever possible, as this would help us to manage foot traffic and not create the need to limit attendance on site. Also we ask that you follow the 'rules of the road' and keep to the right as you browse through the market.
We also ask that if you are feeling any symptoms of COVID-19 that you stay home and help us to prevent the spread, as we work to keep everyone at the market healthy and safe.
We know you can do it! We know WE can do it.... it will just take us all working together, and a little bit of patience. #wegotthis
